Our Cape Town Tasting Experience is a guided walking food tour through the heart of the city and the vibrant Bo-Kaap district. Over the course of approximately 4.5 hours, you’ll visit at least six different eateries—some offering multiple tastings of local dishes and drinks. Along the way, you’ll gain fascinating insights into Cape Town’s culinary heritage, cultural diversity, and evolving food trends.

The tour begins at 09:30 AM and is limited to a maximum of 8 guests for a more intimate experience. Covering 3 to 4 km on foot, it’s designed for guests with moderate fitness levels. Cape Town’s city centre, often called the City Bowl for its natural amphitheatre setting, is compact and easy to explore by foot. This tour is perfect for first-time visitors looking to get their bearings while enjoying the flavours and stories of the city. In addition to the scheduled stops, your guide will also point out recommended restaurants and bars to explore further during your stay.

Afterwards, continue your adventures by catching the ferry to visit to the historic Robben Island. You'll disembark at Murray’s Bay Harbour on the east coast of Robben Island and take a short walk to the buses that will transport you to key historical sites. Along the way, you'll pass buildings and walls constructed by prisoners in the 1960s, once used for family and lawyer visits. Once on the bus, you'll meet your knowledgeable Robben Island Tour Guide, who will share insights into the island's 500-year history. The tour includes stops at the leprosy graveyard, the Lime Quarry, Robert Sobukwe’s house, the Bluestone Quarry, military bunkers, and the Maximum Security Prison, culminating with a visit to Nelson Mandela’s cell.
